Rich Marshall is a family historian and author of the Marshall Family Tree Project (MFTP).
The MFTP began in 1979 with a box of unorganized family tree artifacts handed down from his late great Aunt Ruth Miller-Hayes through his great Aunt Jeane Ferguson-Merklin.
It wound around slowly through snail mail for nearly 10 years before really taking off in 1989 with the purchase of his first computer, a used MAC Plus.
Today, 27 years, several Mac's and a few PC's later the MFTP encompasses over 13,000 individuals and takes the family line back to the early 1500's.
